| Happy Catfish Noodling |
Not only had I never even heard of this sport before but can't believe that catfish can grow to a size that resembles a small whale! I happened to catch a documentary on the subject & sat in front of the t.v. dumbfounded by what I was watching. Not only is the thought of sticking my arm down a mystery hole in a murky river a turn-off in itself, I can't imagine what the addiction is to this. I did agree with one statement I heard though, it said that so much these days is commercialized that a real, raw sport is more attractive to people. In a sense we are brought back to our roots, remembering a time when life was genuine in it's tangebility. The rate of progression seems to bring the past into focus in an almost archiac view; it's getting scary... I need not continue, noodling is noodling, if you try to disect it, it looses it's valor.
On to bigger & better topics...the tenth anniversary of 9/11 is right around the corner, I was listening to one of my favorite radio shows today, In the Market with Janet Parshall & was so moved by the account of events told through the blind eyes of Michael Hingson & his seeing eye dog Roselle. Check out the link for Thunder Dog I gave you in the beginning of this blog, the stories & inspiration of Michael Hingson's life is quite incredible.
& for my brainless recommendation of the day, Plants vs Zombies. I play until I can't move my finger anymore, it's pathetic really.
